How to Download Your EPE Electric Bill

Do you know how to download your EPE electric bill? When beginning your planning to go solar, you will likely need a copy of it. Most solar installers will ask for a copy of your most recent bill so they can do a detailed analysis of your energy consumption and design a solar system to match your energy needs.

Many people don’t usually have a copy of their bill handy. We put together this short video about how to log in and download your bill from El Paso Electric. You may log into the El Paso Electric website and download your bill here.

Things to remember about your bill.

Include your entire bill. As tempting as it is to black out sections of your bill such as the account number, name and address, avoid doing so if you want your solar company to be able to do a good job for you. In reality, the solar company that is working on your quote cannot do anything with the contact info on your bill anyways. There isn’t any dangerous personal info contained on it and the most the solar company can do with your info is pay your bill for you.

In the event you decide to move forward with one of the quotes, your solar company can simplify the process by having a lot of your forms filled out appropriately. It will also help your energy consultant find errors on your bill such as misspelled names, deceased account owners, and incorrect addresses so that you can correct them. Having the full bill will also help your energy consultant explain the different charges on your bill. Many people don’t pay attention to the individual line items and it is always a good idea for you to know what you are paying for. Explaining this info also separates the good energy consultants (professionals) from the bad ones. Would you really go solar with an energy sales consultant that was not familiar with this information?

The Energy Graph say a lot

The graph on the upper left corner of the bill contains your energy consumption history. It shows the last 12 months of your energy usage. Each bar of the graph shows the individual month and the total kilowatt hours (kWh) you used. Your solar company will enter this information into their design and proposal software. It will allow them to do a better job for you by matching your consumption to what your system may produce during the different months of the year.
