What Is an HVAC Mini-Split System?
Ductless Heating and Cooling
HVAC mini-splits are heating and cooling systems that use advanced technology to regulate indoor temperatures and improve air quality. These systems are also commonly referred to as ductless AC, mini-split heat pumps, or ductless systems. HVAC mini-splits are highly efficient, extremely effective, and do not require any ductwork, making them one of the easiest and most convenient heating and cooling systems to install. A well-maintained mini-split system can reduce allergens, prevent mold growth, and help lower energy costs.

Sustainability
Lower your carbon footprint by avoiding fossil fuel usage, contributing to a greener planet and a healthier tomorrow.
How Do Mini-Split HVAC Systems Work?
A mini-split system is a versatile heating and cooling solution consisting of an outdoor unit, which houses the compressor and condenser, and one or more indoor units, which contain the evaporator coil and air handler. In cooling mode, the indoor unit pulls air from the room and passes it over the evaporator coil to cool it. In heating mode, this process is reversed, with the outdoor unit absorbing heat from the outside air—even during colder temperatures.
Mini-split systems can be quickly installed in multiple rooms throughout a home. Unlike traditional central systems, mini-splits do not rely on ducts to distribute conditioned air. These systems provide precise temperature control and energy-efficient comfort by delivering cooled or heated air directly to specific spaces, eliminating the need for ductwork and the energy loss associated with it.

Power Your HVAC System with Solar Energy
The less energy your home requires on a day-to-day basis, the smaller the solar system you will need to install in order to offset your electricity usage. Since space heating and air conditioning can account for up to half of all of your energy usage, the more efficient your heating and cooling equipment are, the greater the savings you can see from your custom-designed solar electric system! That’s why it’s a great idea to combine a mini-split heat pump with a solar PV system.
